Andre' Jamal Dennis

November 15, 1988 — October 13, 2019

Private First Class Andre’ Dennis was born Nov. 15 th , 1988 in Cape Girardeau Mo to Yvette Y Dennis and was granted his angel wings on Oct 13 th , 2019. Private Dennis confessed his love for Christ at the tender age of seven where he was baptized, sang in the youth choir & played his saxophone which he loved under the leadership of the Late Rev. Johnny Thomas at New Bethel M.B. Church. Later in life, Private Dennis became a member of True Vine Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Byron Bonner.

Private Dennis’s life would seem short to many of us, but he lived an outgoing memorable life. He was a free spirit and lived his life to the fullest. As a child Private Dennis participated in many church activities at his church and also with the organizations “Young Life”, “Upward Bound” & “Freedom Rock”. He got to travel with these organizations which included his very first trip to Colorado which became a regular vacation spot later in life.

Private Dennis loved to swim as a child and you could find him at Capaha Park or Cape Central Pool swimming at the bottom of the water waiting to flip someone over while swimming. As he got older he became interested in soccer and basketball became his favorite sport. Through high school he played basketball & football and participated in the semo choir with his aunt and other varies activities on the semo campus.

Private Dennis attended Cape Christian during elementary school graduated from Cape Central High School in 2007 and decided to join the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. Private Dennis was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and an Army Service Ribbon.  Private Dennis served a couple years in the military before being injured and receiving an Honorable Discharge.

Private Dennis married Marie Pemberton in March of 2016.  He worked often at his uncles’ company Semo’s First Choice Movers. Private Dennis was a faithful member of a Dart League and became a participant of The Generals, a flag football team with several of his friends. Private Dennis was what most people call a gentle giant. Private Dennis was full of life, energy, love, laughter and never met a stranger.  If you ever needed a hug… Private Dennis was willing to give it.

Private Dennis departed us in this life but he left a lasting impression in the hearts of us & the hundreds of people that he met. Private Dennis left a life lasting legacy of love & compassion.

Private Dennis leaves to mourn Juanita Dennis (Wife), Hailey Womack, Jaionna Haynes, and Trae Haynes (Stepchlldren), Yvette Dennis (Mother),  Andre’ Winford (Pops), Marvin & Sharon Scott (Grandparents) who raised him well. Callie Frierson (Grandma) Gregory & Tracy Dennis (Uncle & Aunt) Marvin & Valerie Scott (Uncle & Aunt) Mariah Ferguson (Special Cousin) Cherish Ferguson(Special Cousin) Gregory Dennis II (Special Cousin) Timothy Ferguson, Deana Littles (Moma D) Kim Anderson (God Mother) Davion Howard & Mondo Colon (Brothers) Donitra Gibson (Sister) Destiny Scott, Wesley Turman & Valencia Davis (Siblings) Martha Dumars (First wife @ 2 yrs old..lol) & the entire Dumars Clan.  A Host of Aunts & Uncles from the Scott/Dixon Family, A host of family from the Ferguson Family, A host of friends from The Generals Football team & his Dart League, A host of special friends including The Walker Family, The Ziegfelds, Dan Buck,  Dre’Shawn Johnson (Brother), Lamar Wells, Cordie &Travis (Brother) Jones The Gordon Family.

Preceded in death by Anna M Little (Great Grandmother) Clarence Scott (Great Grandfather) Archie & Irma Winford (Grand Parents)  Marvin Teason Scott (Brother) Yvonne Dennis (Aunt) Isaac Cooper Jr. (Cousin).

Friends may call Monday, October 21, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Greater Dimension Ministries in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with  Bishop  Byron Bonner officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery with full military honors.   The Williams
Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
