Angela Shura Blissett, 43, resident of Austin, Texas, formerly of Oran, Missouri, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home. She was born April 21, 1975 in Sikeston, Missouri to Michael Blissett of Oran, Missouri and Leisa Segers Blissett Clarke of Oran, Missouri.
She attended Sikeston High School where she was a 1993 graduate. She was active in basketball and volleyball and was a high school cheerleader. Angela was a Girl Scout and was President of the Senior Black Prom. She participated in many pageants, including Miss Sikeston, where she was first runner-up. She was also the first girl to play Little League Softball in Morley, Missouri.
She attended Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi and Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where she majored in Computer Science/Business Administration. She obtained her Bachelor Science Degree in Accounting/Business Finances.
Angela worked for several companies including Save-A-Lot Corporate, Smurfit Stone Canadian Division, Burch Foods Corporate and H & R Block. She was currently employed by 360 Solutions as a cash Disbursement Manager.
Angela was a member of Divine Temple Church of God in Oran, Missouri where she participated in the choir. She attended Lively Stone Church of God in St. Louis, Missouri. She had not found a church home in Austin, Texas.
Angela loved singing and going to yard sales. Her bright smile and love for others will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her father, Michael (Kim) Blissett of Oran, Missouri, her mother, Leisa (David) Clarke of Oran, Missouri, two sons, DeAndre Blissett and Kaleb Mayo of Austin, Texas, seven brothers, Michael "Thomas" Blissett of Reno, Nevada, Jason Blissett of Oran, Missouri, Matthew Blissett of Fayette, Missouri, Markel Hill of Belleville, Illinois, David Segers of St. Louis, Missouri, Jeffrey Price of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Entwain Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, three sisters, Felesha Clarke of St. Louis, Missouri, Mikaela Blissett of Memphis, Tennessee and Larisa Segers of Columbia, Missouri, and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 10:30 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Divine Temple Church of God in Oran, Missouri where Minister Lee Blissett will officiate and the Pastor, Elder Michael Blissett, will be the eulogist.
Interment will follow in Divine Temple Memorial Gardens in Oran, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
