Arthur Henry Webb, 79, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born February 1, 1941 in Dundee, Mississippi to the late John Wesley and Mattie Mae Webb.
Arthur accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and attended many church congregations. He graduated from O’Bannon High School in New Madrid, Missouri. He moved to St. Louis, Missouri. His employment included maintenance and factory work.
He was very fashion conscious. His work attire was always khaki pants, neatly pressed with a crease. On special occasions, he wore that special suit, shirt, tie and hat with Stacy Adam shoes.
Arthur loved sports, especially baseball and basketball. He never played basketball with the high school team, but had impeccable ball handling skills that matched those of the original Harlem Globetrotters. He owned the dance floor, and he was the king of the checker board.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ressie Kellum and Eunice Mosley, brothers, Elmer Webb, Alfonzo Webb, Sr., Wardell Webb, Sr., and Nelson Webb.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories sisters, Jewel Ackers of St. Louis, Missouri, and Velma Sims of Anchorage, Alaska, and brother, CL Webb of Memphis Tennessee, and a host nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
A private memorial service will be held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Bishop Ronnie Webb officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Oak Grove Cemetery.
