Bernice Fisher, affectionately known as Bonnie, 76, resident of Charleston, Missouri died, Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born August 15, 1945 in Wyatt, Missouri to the late Senus Boyce and the late Frankie B. Johnson Bostic.
Bonnie was united in marriage to William Fisher in 1979. He preceded her in death on February 21, 2015.
Bernice was well known in Charleston, Missouri. From 1986 to 1994, she was employed at Wally's Restaurant as the buffet cook. In the 2,000's, she began working in healthcare by providing in home services until 2016. She would later work the after school meal program at the Bowden Center.
Bernice rededicated her life to Christ in 2004 and became a member of House of Prayer World Outreach Center in Charleston, Missouri. She opened the "Welcome Table" which invited the community to come eat and fellowship with one another. On Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, she would feed those who came to the church and would deliver plates to those who could not make it out. She touched the lives of many through her cooking. She loved God, her family and her church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Elaine Boyce, her son, Anthony Fisher, her step-son, William Fisher, Jr., her brother, Jimmy Johnson, and her step-grandson JauMarcus McFarland.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, James (Jessica) Boyce of Charleston, Missouri, two daughters, Nora K. Boyce and Betty Ann Fisher McGee of Charleston, Missouri, three step-daughters, Dyrnell Campbell of Charleston, Missouri, Peggy (Charlie) Etheridge and Brenda Fisher of Cleveland, Ohio, seven grandchildren, Barry Boyce, Jr., Irvin Boyce, Latricia Banks, Ashley Banks, Shaunice (Torrence) Murray, Jeremy Boyce, and Byron Jones, three step-grandchildren, JauMorion Moore, Steven Moore, Stevion Moore, 18 great grandchildren, a dear friend, Charles McGee, a special friend, Mary Smoots, and life-long friends, Ifreda Campbell, Frank Campbell and their children, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at House of Prayer World Outreach Center in Charleston, Missouri with Minister Ronald Sloan, officiating. Interment will be follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
