Beverly Cross

Beverly Cross, 71, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born May 7, 1953 in Wolf Island, Missouri to the late Homer Timothy Cross, Sr. and the late Mildred Gibson Cross. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Edward Cross, her sister, Roxie Hicks, and two brothers-in-law, Jessie Hicks and Joe Rimmer.

Beverly had a love for serving the Lord. She attended several churches in the area. She thoroughly enjoyed her Sundays at Opportunity Church of God in Christ and Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston.

She had a caring heart and would do whatever she could for those around her. Beverly took pleasure in cooking and running errands for her neighbors. She also held a special place in her heart for babies and baby dolls. In the summers, she looked forward to travelling to St. Louis to visit with her brother-in-law, Joe. They shared a special bond. Beverly’s presence will be truly missed.

Beverly is survived by six brothers, John (Kathy) Cross of Clarksville, Tennessee, Homer (Angela) Cross, Jr. and Robert (Christina) Cross of Cincinnati, Ohio, Arthur Cross and James Cross of Washington Park, Illinois, and Raymond Cross of Wilson City, Missouri, four sisters, Kathleen Rimmer of St. Louis, Missouri, Vanessa Cross of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Marsha Cross of Dexter, Missouri, and Lena Nelson of Cairo, Illinois, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A.M. at Ollie Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
