Beverly Ann Farris

Beverly Ann Farris, 65, affectionately known as "Bev", resident of Charleston, Missouri died August 7, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born November 23, 1953 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Sam Weems and Mattie Cooper.

She was a 1971 graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Missouri.

On August 19, 1971, she was united in marriage to John Wesley Farries, who survives of the home.

Bev was a military wife and traveled to many places,  giving her the opportunity to live in Evansville, Indiana, Chicago, Illinois, as well as Wilson City, Missouri and Charleston, Missouri.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Evansville, Indiana and Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wyatt, Missouri.

Bev loved sewing and doing arts and crafts.  Her presence will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Larry Winters and two sisters, Bernice Turley and Margaret Kirk.

She is survived by her husband, John Farries of Charleston, Missouri, one son, John Farris of South Haven, Mississippi, two daughters, Endya Farris of Riverdale, Georgia and Michelle Farris of Peoria, Illinois,  eight sisters, Barbara Simmons of Cleveland Ohio, Robby Weems of Caruthersville, Missouri,  Gladys Weems, Jethrie Cooper and Zola Lockhart of Toledo, Ohio,  Delilah Harper of Monroeville, Pennsylvania,  Cynthia Cooper of Phoenix, Arizona and Bessie Hatter of Cleo, Michigan; grandchildren,  Ashleigh Carter, Malik Farris, Noah King and Cameron Farris; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, August 16, 2019 from 2:00 P. M. until the funeral hour of 3:00 P. M. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Reverend Nathan Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
