Bobbie Faye Tipler Bogan, affectionately known as “Bob-Kat”, was born July 14, 1963 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Ella Lee Tipler. She was one of six siblings, two boys and four girls. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mae Lois Tipler Gordon.
In 1981, she graduated from East Prairie High School in East Prairie, Missouri.
Bobbie was a hardworking woman. She loved to work factory jobs.
Bobbie loved to be around people. She was known as “Grandma Bobbie” to the children that lived in her neighborhood. Bobbie would give them popsicles, candy, juices, and whatever else she had to offer that a child would want. She never met a stranger. Bobbie loved and treated everyone as family. Music was one of her favorite everyday hobbies. She enjoyed dancing and was well-known for her dance moves. Another favorite of hers was spending time with family and friends. Bobbie had a big heart. She will be truly missed.
On Thursday, April 22, 2021, Bobbie was unexpectedly taken from our midst at the age of 57 years, nine months and eight days while at her home in Charleston, Missouri.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories three sons, Anthony Tipler of Marion, Indiana, Demondre Tipler and Demarkez Tipler of Charleston, Missouri, two daughters, April (Larry Smith, Jr.) Tipler of Charleston, Missouri, Jerris (Clarence Cole) Tipler of Marion, Indiana, two brothers, Robbie (Norma) Tipler and Alvin Tipler both of East Prairie, Missouri, two sisters, Sadie (Kim) Streaty of Anderson, Indiana, and Callie (Wendell) Cooper of Charleston, Missouri, nine grandchildren, Araya, Anayja, Aveah, Azyhia, A’janay, Demarkez, Jr., Larry Smith III, Keniyah, and Juquan, a special grandson, Ketarious Tipler, a special granddaughter, Amaurie Tipler, a special sister-in-law, Louise Fisher of Charleston, Missouri, special friends, John "James" McCain and Laquoia “Pippie G’s” Warford both of Charleston, Missouri, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.
Friends may call Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M. at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Samuel Gibson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri.
