Carolyn Ann Davis

Carolyn Ann Davis, 59, resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Lutheran Home where she resided.  She was born March 15, 1964 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau to the union of Clifton J. Davis, Jr and Vermell Marie Leisure Davis.

Carolyn attended Parkway State School until she relocated to St. Louis, Missouri.   Once there, she then enrolled in Hubert Wheeler  School.

She attended New Direction The Church of God in Christ Congregational in Belleville, Illinois under the leadership of Pastor Daniel K. Williams.

Carolyn loved animals, especially cats and dogs, and she always loved babies.  During her younger years, she really enjoyed puzzles and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Clifton James Davis, Edward Lee Davis, Billy Ray Davis, and Clevland Afred Payne, three sisters, Shirley Jean Thomas, Gestel Ann Mosley, Lisa Jean Johnson, and her stepmother, Betty Jean Davis.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her fond memories, three sisters, Doris (Elmous) Dennis, Callie Frierson, and Patricia Ann (Robert) Newborn, one brother, Calvin Payne, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Golden Corral, 130 Vantage Drive in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
