Charlie Clark, Sr., 85, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at his home. He was born March 26, 1935 in Hayti, Missouri to the late Sullivan and Delia Loggins Clark.
Charlie attended public school in Braggadocio, Missouri. He would later be employed as a farmer until his retirement.
He confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age and was baptized and joined St. Matthews Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri. Serving God was a joy for him.
On October 4, 1954, Charlie was united in Holy Matrimony to Rosemary Haynes, who survives of the home and was the father of 10 children.
Charlie enjoyed being around his family. When sitting around reminiscing about all the good times with Charlie, all will agree that you can hear his voice vibrating as he says, “Alrighty Then.”
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by four brothers, Sullivan Clark, Delmon Clark, Alfred Clark and Sherman Clark, and three sisters, Mary Standard, Elizabeth McElmurry and Alice Loggins.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Clark of Charleston, Missouri, nine sons and eight daughters-in-law, Corey (Ashley) Clark , Bobby (Sandra) Clark, Clint (Vanessa) Clark, Phil (Ernestine) Clark, Charlie (Charla) Clark, Jr. and Robert Clark of Charleston, Missouri, and Steve (Melani) Clark , Larry (Marilyn) Clark and Donald (Valinda ) Clark of Sikeston, Missouri, one daughter, Erma Rutledge of Buffalo, New York, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
A walk through visitation will be held Sunday, May 24, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Nathan Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri.
