Christine Marie Murray-Robinson

May 2, 1956 — September 13, 2021

Christine Marie Murray-Robinson, 65, resident of Charleston, Missouri died Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born May 2, 1956 in Thompson Bend, Missouri to the late Fred and Estella Murray Coleman.

Christine was a member of Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church.  She would also attend First Praise Baptist Church in Cairo, Illinois under the leadership of Pastor J.L. Posey.

She was employed by the Charleston Housing Authority for more than 30 years.  She would handle tenant services and the phones in a very professional manner.  Christine loved that job, but she also had a natural ability to care for others.  She would simultaneously work at Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri (VNA) for more than 20 years.  She is no doubt a beautiful spirit that's gone too soon.

Christine was united in marriage to Jerome Robinson on July 16, 2016.  He survives of the home

Christine had a very kind spirit and was a gracious mother.  She loved everyone and was loved by everyone.  She was one to speak what was in her heart "sometimes without regret."  She was known for having the best conversations, most of them ending in laughter. Chris enjoyed Bingo, Pick 3, Pick 4, and her Pepsi.  We can all hear her saying, "I started to play those triples."  She will be missed.

In addition to her parents,  she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Coleman, Jr. and David Lee Coleman, and one grandson, Marcus Dixon.

In addition to her husband, Jerome Robinson, she leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Demetrius Murray of Charleston, Missouri, three daughters, Tammy Murray of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Yulaunda (Patrick) Farmer and Chaka (Tyrone) Dunnigan of Charleston, Missouri, two brothers, Paul (Linda) Coleman and Jermaine (Michelle) Coleman of Charleston, Missouri, five sisters, Joyce (Charles) Higgins of Ridgeley, Tennessee, Angela (Delmar) Gillespie, Renee Coleman, Linda (Paladin) Ware, and Louise Bostic all of Charleston, Missouri,  her grandchildren, K.T. Dunnigan, Demonte' Farmer, DeParis Townsend, P.J. Farmer, Ka'Zyrion Murray,  Kahiiya Dunnigan, Demetria Murray, Devonte Powell, Unashae King, Nashira King, Tiara Murray, Alexis Hawkins, Markisjah Williams, and  Demetrius Eversole,  15 great  grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
