Christopher Xavier Smith

Christopher  Xavier Smith, 25, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died Monday, January 21, 2019, at his uncle's home in Sikeston, Missouri.  He was born January 31, 1993 in Sikeston, Missouri to LySonia Moore of Charleston, Missouri and Sean Smith of Normal, Illinois.

He attended Sikeston Public Schools in Sikeston, Missouri at an early age, while living with his grandparents. He also attended Charleston Public Schools in Charleston, Missouri and Portageville Public Schools in Portageville, Missouri where he played football.  He excelled in sports during his high school years and really came to love sports of all types, especially football.  He also loved art, listening to music and had a special affection for dogs.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Oliver, Hattie Moore, and Walter and Dorcas Spence, his aunts, Rosie Graham, Barbara "Sally" Moore and Delmarie Moore, and two cousins, Alvin (Ray-baby) Spence and George Moore.

He is survived by his mother, Lysonia Moore of Charleston, Missouri and his father, Sean  (Thyesha) Smith  of Normal, Illinois, two sons, Zion Williams and Kingston Smith of Charleston , Missouri, six brothers, Sean S. Smith, Jr. and Grotez Simpson of Charleston, Missouri, Savion Smith and Shawnterius Smith, D’Camron King, and  Eemer Henderson of  Normal, Illinois, two sisters, Nadia King and Tyrenetta Williams of  Normal, Illinois, his maternal grandparents,  Christopher Oliver and Shirley Murray of Charleston, Missouri, and his paternal grandparents, Walter (Bommie)  and Lue Ann Spence of Sikeston, Missouri and Jackie Smith of Charleston, Missouri, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Friday, February 8, 2019 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Veronica Dunigan, officiating.
