Claude Nix, Jr

Claude Nix, Jr.,  42, resident of Jackson, Tennessee, died Thursday, August 29, 2019.  He was born on August 26, 1977 in Merrillville, Indiana to Nancy  Floyd of Jackson, Tennessee and Claude  Nix, Sr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He was a 1995 graduate of Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Indiana where he participated in track.

Claude lived his life his own way, but always respectful of others.  He relocated to Jackson, Tennessee to help care for his stepfather.

He could be considered a loner because he loved to relax and keep to himself, however  enjoyed spending time with his family.  His presence will certainly be missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his parents,  Nancy and Clarence  Floyd of Jackson, Tennessee  and  Claude and Linda Nix, Sr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, two sons, Jamario Nix of Cartersville, Georgia and Ethan Nix of Las Vegas, Nevada, one sister, Claudette Rochelle (Marte) Anderson of Douglasville, Georgia,  one step brother, Carlos (Tasha) Floyd of Olympia Fields, Illinois, one step sister, Chandesia Floyd of Wabash, Indiana, a niece, Brianna Cole of  Douglasville, Georgia,  the mothers of his children, Lafonda Reedy of Cartersville, Georgia and Aisha McCullum of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 P. M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Missouri.
