Cynthia Laverne Burrell-Redd

October 26, 1972 — February 8, 2020

Cynthia LaVerne Burrell-Redd, 47, resident of Sikeston, Missouri died February 8, 2020 at her home.  She was born October 26, 1972 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Curtis Burrell and Nazareth and Earl Baker of Haywood City, Missouri.

She attended Scott County Central High where she was a member of the 1990 graduating class.   She later attended Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois and was the General Manager of Long John Silver's and A & W in Sikeston, Missouri.

Cynthia loved playing dominoes and watching her favorite teams, Duke University, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings and college football.

Cynthia was deeply loved will be greatly missed.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Harris and Hosea Johnson.

She is survived by one son, De'Shonte Nabors of Sikeston, Missouri,  two daughters, De'Shya Burrell of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Chazeton Redd of Sikeston, Missouri, her mother and step father, Nazareth and Earl Baker of Haywood City, Missouri, one brother, Kurdis Burrell of South Dakota, two sisters, Yulonda Fisher of South Dakota and Darla (Marvin) Jones of California, two step daughters, Latoya Henderson Fanner of Texas and Ke'Rajelynn Redd of Missouri, two step sisters, Carol Clark of Florida and Brandy Finch of South Dakota,  two aunts, Linnell Malcolm and Albertine Burrell, one uncle, Clinton Burrell, a great uncle, Willie Franklin of Florida, a special friend, Wilbur Redd of Sikeston, Missouri,  seven grandchildren, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, February 15, 2020  from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City, Missouri where Reverend Alex Sims is the pastor.  Elder Willie Franklin of Deliverance Temple Church of God in Christ in Alton, Illinois will officiate.

Interment will follow in the New Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
