Denise Diane Reddin, daughter of Narvel and Mary Lou Reddin, was born October 6, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. She was one, in a family of seven children, five boys and two girls. Her parents, a brother named Narvel Reddin, Jr., and a sister named Elizabeth Ann Reddin have preceded her in death.
One of Denise's lifelong commitments was to education. She graduated from Cape Central High School in 1985, obtained her Associate Degree in Science from Tomlinson College in 1987, her Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Bridgeport-Waterbury in 1997, and her Master's Degree in Human Resources from Lindenwood University in 2011.
Denise used her education to fulfill her life passion, which was to help people. Denise served as a professional nanny for a family in Connecticut, while continuing her education, from 1992-1999. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree until present, Denise worked in the social services field assisting others for over 20 years. Her many roles included supervision, case management, and providing home care for those with disabilities throughout the state of Missouri.
Denise had the heart of a faithful servant. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in 1985 and served Him from that day forward. She worked as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, and youth leader in the Church of God of Prophecy in Bridgeport, Connecticut under Shirley Coote as Pastor. Denise continued to serve in the church when she moved back to Missouri and worked as a Sunday school teacher and participated on the worship team in the Church of God under John Goff as Pastor.
On Tuesday morning, March 24, 2020, God called her from this world of toil and tears to a brighter home of peace and rest at the age of 53. Denise leaves behind her four brothers and their families- Mark and Deanna Reddin of Wentzville, MO; Darryl and Angie Reddin of Cape Girardeau, MO; Derrick and Anissa Reddin of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Joseph Reddin of St. Louis, MO. Her memory will be forever cherished by her siblings and her sixteen beloved nieces and nephews- Jeremiah, Riley, Sydney, Jordan, Jada, Amber, Jaeson, Jalen, De'ja, Tyrus, Derrion, Daisy, Brian, Jeaveyana, Jakari, and Caleb.
Friends may call Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 12:00 noon for a Memorial Service at Overcomers Church of God located at 624 South Ellis Street in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
