Don Duran Fletcher, Sr., 58, resident of Lansing, Michigan, formerly of Sikeston, Missouri died, June 12, 2020, at his daughter’s home in Charleston, Missouri. He was born February 12, 1962 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Joseph Lee and Minnie B. Barnhill Fletcher, Sr.
Don was of the Baptist faith and had a personal relationship with God. He was raised in Sikeston, Missouri and educated through the Sikeston Public Schools.
He was employed as a Laundry Attendant at a nursing home in Jonesboro and was an auto mechanic.
Don left the area in pursuit of adventure and relocated in Lansing, Michigan.
He was united in marriage to Diane Scott Fletcher who survives.
Don was a loving but outspoken person who was always there whenever and for whoever needed him. He would bring joy to the room and was the life of the party. He loved playing music, having a good time and spending time with his children, grandchildren and his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, David Fletcher and one aunt, Erma Barnhill Applewhite.
He is also survived by three sons, Marcus Fletcher of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Don Fletcher, Jr of Sikeston, Missouri and Dasmone Fletcher of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, one daughter, Cora Howard (Otis Haynes, Sr.) of Charleston, Missouri, three brothers, Johnny Fletcher and Larry Fletcher of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Joseph Fletcher, Jr. of Lansing, Michigan, seven sisters, JoAnn Fletcher and Regina (Tony) Gibbs of Sikeston, Missouri, Carolyn Fletcher, Bettie Fletcher and Sherry (Randy) Timmons of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Pamela (Shawn) Johnson of Lansing, Michigan, and Melissa Fletcher of Detroit, Michigan, one step-son, Christopher Howard of Sikeston, Missouri, three step-daughters, Chaka Howard of Sikeston, Missouri and Tekila Woods and LaTosha Woods of Jonesboro, Arkansas, ten grandchildren , Otis Haynes, Jr., Otinurris Howard, Joecoreion Howard, LaKyron Shannon, Donquavaious Fletcher, Diamond Fletcher, Makhia Fletcher, Kamari Thompson, Ava Fletcher and Azzeria Fletcher, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A walk through visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 10:00am until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri.
