Dorothy Jean Moore, 70, resident of Wilson City, Missouri died May 30, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born March 11, 1949 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Albert and Martha Hopkins Clark.
Dorothy knew the Lord at an early age and was under the leadership of Reverend Tyus at Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Wyatt, Missouri.
She received her General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in 1968 in Charleston, Missouri and found gainful employment at the Bertrand Nursing Home in Bertrand, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Robert Moore, who preceded her in death on January 10, 2014.
Dorothy loved gardening, sewing, crafts, fishing and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death, one son, Kenneth Lavell Clark and one sister, Rosie Sistrunk.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael and Zennifer Moore of Richmond, Virginia and Robert and Sharetha Moore, Jr. of Charleston, Missouri and one daughter and son-in-law, Pomonica and Kenneth Tarver of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, four brothers, James Clark of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jimmy Clark of Lansing, Michigan, Eddie Clark of Sandusky, Illinois and David Clark of Wilson City, Missouri, one sister, Anna Reed of Wilson City, Missouri and a host of 21 grandchildren, over 30 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
A Queen has gained her wings.
Friends may call Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 10:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 11:00 A. M. at House of Prayer World Outreach Center in Charleston, Missouri with Apostle Kenneth Tarver, officiating.
