Eddie May Washington

July 19, 1965 — April 2, 2024

Eddie May Washington, affectionately known as  Mickey, was born July 19, 1965 in Charleston, Missouri to Percy Foster and Eula Mae Washington. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Jean Henderson and her brother, Michael Todd Washington   Williams.

Mickey graduated from Charleston High School, class of 1984.

She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  She also utilized those nursing skills at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston, Charleston Manor Skilled  Nursing Facility in Charleston, and the Regional Center.  Mickey was a hard worker.  She was employed as a cook and breakfast attendant at Best Western, and worked at Unilever and   Orgill as well.

She enjoyed cooking, and for those special occasions, she would make her  famous jambalaya.  She loved listening to her music, riding, traveling, and just being on the go.  When she did decide to sit still, she would do so on her couch.  That was one of her favorite places to be, while she watched her various cooking episodes, as well as her old shows like “In the Heat of the Night.”

She was a loving, caring, devoted mother and sister.  She would help anyone who needed it, no matter her situation.  She was an all-around girl.  Mickey loved to dress stylishly and look good in her wigs. Mickey was the life of party and loved to dance.  Her smile would light up any room when she walked in.

Mickey loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She cherished spending time with them and spoiling them. She will be missed.

Mickey transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 while at her home in Wyatt. She was taken from our midst at the age of 58 years, eight months, and 14 days.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sons, TyShawn Foster and Dyrick Foster of Earle, Arkansas, and LaZingo Washington of Wyatt, Missouri, six brothers, Jimmie Lindell of Wilson City, Missouri, Walter (Ida) Lindell of New Madrid, Missouri, Charles Washington and Reginald Gary both of Charleston, Missouri, Robert Gary of Sikeston, Missouri, and Jason (Karen) Gary of Axton, Virginia, six sisters, Rosemary (James) Moss, Elaine Williams, and Joyce Foster all of Charleston, Missouri, Doris Washington of Sikeston, Missouri,  Patricia Haynes of Hinesville, Georgia, and Shirley (Clarence) Greene of South Carolina, eight grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other  relatives, and friends.
