Edna Campbell

Edna Lorrine Campbell, affectionately known as Toe, was born August 25, 1950 in Thompson Bend, Missouri. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Luther Murray, George Murray, John Murray, and Richard Murray, three sisters, Katherine McCauley, Estella Coleman, and Ruby Johnson, and two grandchildren, Demetrieal Gillespie and Calvin Murray.

Edna had a personal relationship with God. She was a member of Full Gospel Church in East Prairie, Missouri for over 20 years. She loved church and attending brought her much joy.

On September 30, 1968, she was united in holy matrimony to Calvin Lafayette Campbell. Four children were born to this union, three sons and one daughter.

Edna worked for the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA). When she wasn’t working, she could be found in the kitchen cooking or spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Edna peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the age of 73.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Calvin Campbell of East Prairie, Missouri, three sons, Thomas (Angela) Murray of East Prairie, Missouri, Calvin Campbell, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona, and Waymon (Jaime) Campbell of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, one daughter, Lavonda (Roosevelt) Thompson of Kansas City, Missouri, two brothers, Jack (Barbara) Murray and Norman (Elizabeth) Murray both of Charleston, Missouri, one sister, Gloria Murray of Charleston, Missouri, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Full Gospel Church in East Prairie, Missouri with Pastor Eric McGruder eulogizing and Pastor Robert Campbell of New Beginning Christian Church of Wilmington, North Carolina officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
