Elliott Alexander Dugan, Jr., affectionately known as Snookie, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died July 27, 2023 at Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born March 6, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Elliott Dugan, Sr. and the late Ethel Dugan Moore.

He was a 1967 graduate from Charleston Public Schools in Charleston, Missouri. Afterward, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on October 30, 1967. For his service, he received the Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, RVNMUC Gallantry Cross and the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.

Elliott was a wise man who knew everything there was to know. He knew everything about anything. He loved talking to people and holding conversations wherever he was. Elliott never met a stranger. Elliott treasured the time spent with his family, especially his favorite niece, Lakeisha Dugan.

He loved his “me time”.  Elliott was really into fitness.  He enjoyed going to the health club and riding his ten-speed bicycle all over Charleston. Elliott liked to take long rides and listen to a variety of music, especially Lizzo. He spent a lot of time in Cairo by the river.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne “Sissy” Dugan, and his nephew, Tyrone Dugan.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories two sons, Lonnie (Dora) Dugan of Kennewick, Washington and Elliott (Aisha) Dugan, III of Los Angeles, California, his daughter, Kenyta Scott of Los Angeles, California, his sister, Linda Faye Dugan of Sikeston, Missouri, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
