Ellis Gregory

Ellis June Gregory, affectionately known as Snow and Big E, was born May 18, 1955 in Bell City, Missouri to the late Frank June Gregory and Beatrice Wallace Holland.

Ellis was s devoted, hard working family man who was a jack of all trades. Ellis loved spending time with his family, fishing, and farming. He worked on a farm for Ed Troop and The Fitzgeralds for over 15 years. He did construction work as well. Ellis helped build several buildings in Sikeston. He also worked at The Power Plant for several years before retiring in 1999.

Ellis was a dedicated member of St. John M.B. Church in Sikeston under the leadership of Pastor Richard Lee. He served faithfully on the Usher Board for 24 years up until God called him home.

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025 while at Missouri Delta Medical Center, Ellis went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 69 years, eight months, and four days. Ellis was definitely one of a kind and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by three siblings, his mother in law, and one great grandchild; Alexander Davis, Virgie Wallace, Larry Wallace, Margaret Bratcher, and Chanc Bratcher.

Ellis leaves to mourn his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Gregory, who survives of the home, as well as six children, Teretha (Maurice) Robinson, Lonnell Bratcher, Scott Bratcher, Angela Coleman, and Clarence Bratcher all of Sikeston, Missouri, and Wendy Brown of St. Charles, Missouri, one grandson he helped raise, Markeith Bratcher of Sikeston, Missouri, one sister, Delores (Willie) Cooper of Sikeston, Missouri, one brother, Willie Holland of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister in law, Betty Morris, one brother in law, Ron (Jamie) Bratcher, 18 grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be at 12:00 noon with funeral services starting at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Pastor Richard Lee of St. John Missionary Baptist Church officiating. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
