Fabian Johnson Spence, 40, resident of Sikeston, Missouri, found rest and peace in the arms of God, Monday, June 17, 2019, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri. She was born August 2, 1978 in Sikeston, Missouri to Walter Charles and Lue Ann Johnson Spence, Jr. of Sikeston, Missouri.
She was a graduate of Sikeston High School, Class of 1997, where she played basketball and was a member of the Art Club. Fabian attended Three Rivers Community College. There she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was currently employed by Mosaic Community Service as a House Manager in Sikeston, Missouri and part-time at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri as a Physician 's Assistant.
Fabian was a lifetime member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri where she was a member of the choir.
Fabian had a very sweet loving spirit and loved hanging out with her family and friends. Her passion was taking care of others and her choice of profession served as a testimony. She also loved cooking, especially exotic dishes, and listening to music, but the love of her daughter, Deveah, her nieces and nephews surpassed all. She was the life of the party and will be significantly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, Walter and Lue Ann Spence, Jr. , she is survived by one daughter, Deveah Dortch of Sikeston, Missouri, four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Gary (Marilyn) Jackson Spence of East St. Louis, Illinois, Sean (Thyesha) Smith of Normal, Illinois, Byron (Pamela) Smith of Charleston, Missouri and Walter Charles Spence, III of Sikeston, Missouri, four sisters, Sonya Clark of Bloomington, Illinois, Alicia Johnson Spence, Torya Steward and Sabrina (Charles) Johnson Spence of Sikeston, Missouri, a very special friend, Larry Waters of Sikeston, Missouri, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Friday, June 28, 2019 at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, Missouri from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. with Superintendent Steve Betts officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri.
