Flora Burrow

January 21, 1934 — July 30, 2019

Flora Burrow, 85, resident of Portageville, Missouri died Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Portageville Health Care Center.  She was born January 21, 1934 in Joiner, Arkansas to the late John B. and Geneva  Burns Williams.

She was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn, Missouri for over 30 years where she served on the Mother's Board.  She was a stay at home Mom and later employed by Visiting Nursing Respite Services as a caregiver.

Mother Burrow loved singing and had many other interests and hobbies, including taking care of her dog, Snowball, whom she also loved.

She was united in marriage to Henry Lee Burrow, Sr. in Tyronza, Arkansas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, five sons, one daughter, two grandsons, and two great grandchildren.

All who knew Mother Burrow can certainly remember one of her favorite sayings, "Girl….Let me tell you this."   She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three daughters, Henrietta Moore of Charleston, Missouri, Ruth Ann (Charles) Simmons of Cochran, Georgia, and Beverly (Tommie) Strong of New Madrid, Missouri,  four brothers, John Williams and William Ray (Mary Ann) Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Ernest James Williams of Lakewood, New Jersey, and Walter (Florence) Williams of Joiner, Arkansas, six sisters, Ruthie Mae Williams of Chicago, Illinois, Cora Lee Frazier,  Geneva (Joe) Felton and Christine (Sammy) Davis of  Osceola, Arkansas, Florence (Bennie) Washington and Sandra Williams of Joiner, Arkansas, two daughters-in-law, Minnie Burrow of Lilbourn, Missouri and  Linda Ann Burrow of Sikeston, Missouri, one brother-in-law, Eddie McGee of Osceola, Arkansas, one sister-in-law Dorothy Gene Williams of Chicago, Illinois, 26 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren and two very special people in her life, Matthew Hubrins and her son-in-law, Willie B. Moore.

Friends may call Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral of 12:00 noon at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Terrance Flenoid officiating.
