Francis Montjoy

Francis Montjoy, 58, resident of Huntsville, Texas, died Sunday, December 4, 2022 in her home. She was born September 8, 1964 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Louis Van Montjoy, Sr. and the late Katherine Dickson Montjoy.

She was a graduate of Sikeston High School in Sikeston, Missouri, class of 1983.

Francis attended Greater Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Eldridge McAdams.

Francis had an entrepreneurial spirit. She operated her own café in Huntsville, Texas. She was a people person that enjoyed cooking. Everyone in the area loved her burgers and pies. Francis also worked for Barbara and Sam Dominey of Dominey Family Enterprises for many years.

She was happiest tending to her flowers and plants. Francis was always the life of any party. She loved music and dancing to the beat. Her energy and love will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Montjoy, Larry Montjoy, and Louis Montjoy, Jr. and three sisters, Peggy Blissett, Delois Brooks and Shirley Sanders.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her only daughter and her husband, Margo and Brian Walker, Sr. of Huntsville, Texas, three brothers, Frankie (Melinda) Montjoy of Huntsville, Texas, Marshall Montjoy and Kim Montjoy of Sikeston, Missouri, three sisters, Cathy (Lonnie) Holly of Seattle, Washington, Karen (Don Gaines) Montjoy of St. Louis, Missouri, and Monica (Paul) Jackson of Huntsville, Alabama, two grandchildren, Brian Walker, Jr. and Bre’Ne Walker, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins,  other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
