Gearline Jones

Gearline Jones, affectionately known as “Gearl”, was born on January 15, 1940 to the union of Elnora Butler and Grant Foster in Charleston, Missouri, where she received her education.

Gearline , moved to Chicago Illinois with her three children at the age of twenty. This is where she met Lavan Anderson and four more children were born.  Gearline accepted Christ at an early age and raised her children in church.  Education was very important to her and she instilled that in her children.

Gearline , had a beautiful soul. She loved to help others! At times giving away things that DID NOT belong to her and would dare you to say something.  She loved kids and always kept a house full, which included neighbors, friends, and relatives.  Anyone who needed a couch to rest their head or a meal to eat, her doors were always open.  She also had a love for playing cards.

Gearline , peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday July 5, 2019.  She is proceeded in death by her Mother ; Elnora Butler-Jones, Father ; Grant Foster, Step Father ; John Jones, Six Brothers ; Randy, LD, Freddy, Allen “Sleepy”, Aaron “Boo Boo”, and George(Evelyn), Two Sisters ; Barbara Ann and Madine, Three Children ; Cynthia, Bobby Louis, and Sharon (James), Card Partner and Best Friend ; Dorothy(Titus).

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: Three Siblings; Willie(Maxine), Tommy and Ezola, Children ; Roy Lee, Anthony(Alexis), Dorothy, and Tina, Grandchildren ; Michael, Mysheree, Kristi, James Jr., Kareem, GeAnna, Anthony Jr., Marques, Tristian, Tiana, Otis, Lamont, LaRhonda, and Roy Jr., Great-grandchild ; Michael Jr. along with a host of other relatives and friends whom she adored.

Friends may call Friday, July 19, 2019 from 11:00 A.  M.  until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, Missouri with the pastor, Superintendent Steve Betts officiating.  Interment will following in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
