Helen Davis was born December 15, 1953 to the union of William and Earline Crawford. Helen loved and cherished her siblings very much. No matter the four seasons or what the Holiday was Helen always wanted to be around her family.
Helen accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a standing member of Oak Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Guthrie Missouri.
No matter how distant a phone call or face to face conversation had become, Helen never forgot any of her siblings’ birthdays. She always greeted them with a card or small conversation of “Hello, How you doing, I Love you and I miss you”.
Helen lived a truly full life. A lot of us say that about our family members living a full life but its different when you must live for your family and fighting for your own for 14 hard years. Helen was diagnosed back in 2007 with one of the rarest diseases known to this world. This disease is called Huntington’s Disease. At the time when she was diagnosed with this disease the doctors gave her two and a half years to live. Helen proved those doctors so wrong because she pushed herself to stay with her family for a Blessed 14 years longer. For those who spoke with her or even visited and asked her how she was doing, Helen would always reply with “Trying To Make It”.
The morning of September 14, 2021, GOD opened up the heavenly gates and welcomed Helen with open arms and told her “Your journey is over” --- “ You Made It ”.
Helen was preceded in death by both of her parents, three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories, her two sons: Eldonda Davis (Tamara) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Lefonda Davis (Kimberly) of Fulton MO and her lovely daughter, Marquitta Rhone (Larry) of Fulton MO, five grandchildren: Eldonda “TJ” Davis, Jalen Rhone, Bryce Davis, Javon Rhone and Jaden Rhone, six brothers: Oscar Brown (Priscella) of Atlanta, GA, David Crawford of Columbus, OH, Robert “Bobby” Crawford (Opal) of Chicago, IL, Will Davis of Wilson City, MO, Earnest Crawford (Joyce) of Jefferson City, MO, Jewell Crawford (Barbara) of Waynesville MO, three sisters: Mary Doyle of Chicago IL, Linda White (John) of Cleveland, OH, Brenda Townes of Cleveland, OH and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and extremely close group of friends.
