Irvin Laroy Blair

November 11, 1957 — January 31, 2022

Irvin Laroy Blair was born November 11, 1957, to the proud parents of Mamie Blair and Arthur Louis Carter. Irvin was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie Blair and Arthur Louis Carter, his son, Telly Blair, his brother, Charles Blair, and his sisters, Lisa Blair and Valencia Smith.

Irvin accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, as he was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

He attended Howardville Elementary and was a 1975 graduate of Lilbourn High School. Irvin was very talented. He appeared in several different talent shows and played basketball for Lilbourn High School. In 1998, the team was inducted in the Missouri Basketball Hall of Fame.

After graduating high school, Irvin moved to Gary, Indiana where he was an employee of Methodist Hospital. Years later, he relocated to Minnesota where he was employed by Honeywell and Burlington Northern Railroad.

Irvin will be remembered most by his great conversation and the smiles he put on our faces. He made sure to keep in contact with all his family and friends-some of which he talked with daily. Irvin touched all our hearts with his gift of gab.

Irvin was the proud father of four sons and one daughter: Hosea Williams of Lilbourn, Missouri, Tasha and Ivan Jones of Merrillville, Indiana and TaMarcus Blair of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Irvin leaves to mourn his siblings: Doris, Ondrenette, (Orlando) Eric, and Trina Blair of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Glen Blair of Lilbourn Missouri, Angie, Ann, Sandra, Garvin, Ernest, Anita, and Donna Carter of St. Louis, Missouri, his grandkids, Shyanne Hendren, Keon Wynn, Rey’Hosea Williams, Jr., Airiel Jones, Ivan Jones, Jr., and Iyssys Blair, and a host of aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, uncles, and many, many friends.

Uncle Vern and Aunt Shirley held a very special place in his heart.

Many thanks to Earnest McFerren, Detral Treadwell, Robert and Vernita Hamilton.

Friends may call Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries with Pastor Arthur L.
