Jacqueline Deone Wilson

Jacqueline Deone Grissom Wilson, affectionately known as Jackie, was born May 28, 1970 in Hughes, Arkansas to Earl Lee Grissom, Sr. and Dorothy Lee Jackson Grissom. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her bonus parents, Jerry and Ollia Shephard, her paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Grissom, Sr., and her maternal grandparents, George Shephard and Bernice Jackson. Also, preceding her in death is her brother, Earl Grisoam (PeeWee), her sister, Sabrina Grissom,  and her nephews, DeAdrean Grissom, Donte Grissom, and Earl Wayne Jinor.

She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very early age while attending Prayer of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in New Madrid, Missouri. She continued in her Christian faith throughout her life and recommitted herself to God in 2021.

Jackie received her Medical Assistance Certificate from Job Corps in Simpsonville, Kentucky. She worked as a medical assistant until her health started to decline.

Jackie loved to shop and watch old movies, including Gun Smoke and Little House on the Prairie. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family, whom she loved very much!

On Monday, August 14, 2023 Jackie was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 53 years, two months, and 17 days.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her brothers, Steven Grissom, Earl (Christine) Grissom, Jr. and Fleinord Grissom all of Howardville, Missouri, and LeDale Grissom of Sikeston Missouri, her sisters, Lula (Ronnie) Thomas of Hampton, Georgia, Zelma Shephard of West Palm Beach Florida, and Eboney (Joshua) Walker of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, a special aunt, Zelnora Brown (Aunt Babysister) and Uncle Lawrence Crosby, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jackie left a lasting impression on all that knew her.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Earl Grissom, Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
