James Greer

James  Greer, 71, resident of Wilson City, Missouri died November 5, 2019 at the East Prairie Nursing Center in East Prairie, Missouri.  He was born July 9, 1948 in Wyatt, Missouri to the late George Lester Greer and the late Susie Mae Hearns Jackson.

James loved being with his family and friends. He battled sickness most of his life, but he is a testimony to many that God is a great God.

In addition to his parents, James is also preceded in death by his brother, George Lester Greer, Jr. and his grandparents, Alvin Greer,  Katherine Douglas, Albert Hearns and Josie Pearson.

He is survived by one son, James Greer, Jr. of Aurora, Illinois, one brother, Elder Elvin (Stella) Greer of Wilson City, Missouri, two sisters, Missionary Patricia (David) Jackson-Robinson, Evangelist Charvette (Dr. Lamonte') Calvin of Sikeston, Missouri, five stepsisters, Remal Orr, Willie Edyth Davidson, Argusta Lucas, Neomia Young all of Detroit, Michigan, and Artenser (Tony) Durrah of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, two children he adopted as his own, Clifford Williams and Teresa Williams of Charleston, Missouri, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Wyatt, Missouri with Elder Elvin Greer officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
