James "Jimmy" Henry Robinson

James  "Jimmy" Henry Robinson, 76,  of Caruthersville, Missouri died Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville, Missouri.  He was born January 29, 1943 in Gary, Indiana to the late Willie Ed and Ardella Glenn Robinson.

Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age and attended Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor Earl Grissom.

In 1963, he graduated from Howardville High School located in Howardville, Missouri.  After graduation he served his country by entering the United States Army from June 6, 1963 to May 25, 1965 and received an honorable discharge.

He was a guidance counselor for Lilbourn High School from 1970-1971 and taught GED
(General Educational Development) Classes.  He also served as Deputy Sheriff in New Madrid County in 1976.

On December 28, 1971, in New Madrid, Missouri he was united in marriage to Elnora Hubrins, who survives of the home.

He also worked at Arvin Automotives in Dexter, Missouri and as an engineer at Lady Luck Casino in Caruthersville, Missouri.

Jimmy enjoyed cruising in his car, playing dominoes, backgammon and listening to his favorite gospel groups, "Willie Neal Johnson and The Canton Spirituals". His presence will certainly be missed and his favorite saying, " I Love you to the max of maxtivity ", will always be remembered and he will never be forgotten.

He is also preceded in death  by two sisters, Mary Lott and Charlene Gafford, a grandson Kerry Rucker, Jr. and a great grandson, Treston Pulley, Jr.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Richie Alan and Pam Hubrins of Poplar Bluff, Missouri , two daughters and one son-in-law, Ardella Wright of Caruthersville, Missouri and Mary Lynn and Robert Taylor of Lilbourn, Missouri, one brother, Robert Ed (Irma) Robinson of Lilbourn, Missouri, one sister, Georgia Burks of Chicago, Illinois, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren  and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P. M. at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Reverend Samuel Franklin of Hewlett Grove Baptist Church in  Memphis, Tennessee, officiating.  Reverend Earl Grissom is the pastor.  Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri with  full Military honors.  The Williams Funeral Home of Howardville, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
