Jeromy Jermaine Hunt, Sr.

April 11, 1979 — December 30, 2018

Jeromy Jermaine “J.J.” Hunt, Sr., 39, resident of Sikeston, died December 30, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  He was born on April 11, 1979 in Sikeston, Missouri to Rita Hunt-Savage of Sikeston, Missouri.

He was a graduate of Sikeston Public Schools, class of 1997

J.J. was a member of Green Memorial Church of God in Christ, where he was a former member of Green Memorial’s Purity Class. He was one of the best in doing bible drills.

He was united in marriage to Carris Henderson on September 16, 2017, who survives of the home.

J.J. was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, and he never met a stranger.  He was known to be funny and loved to make you laugh.  He also loved cooking and was the cook for “The Last Day of School Give-A-Way” that is sponsored by his Mother.  He loved his Mother, his children, his wife, and his family, but his greatest love was God.  J. J. made a huge impact on many people and will be greatly missed and certainly never forgotten.

J.J. was preceded in death by his grandmother, Inez Hunt, and step-father, Willie Savage, Jr.

In addition to his mother, Rita Hunt-Savage, and his wife, Carris Hunt, he is survived by four sons, Jeromy Jermaine Hunt, Jr. and Jer’Don Hunt of Eudora, Arkansas, and Jermaine Hunt and Maragus Hubbard of Sikeston, Missouri, four daughters,  Je’Lyric Hunt and Ma’Jesilyn Hunt of Sikeston, Missouri, Jerikah Hunt of Eudora, Arkansas, and Princess Kay Looney of Kansas City, Missouri, six brothers, Elgin (Tyesha) Hunt, Dion (Nesha) Savage and Alvin Hinds of Sikeston, Missouri,  Brandon (Nena) Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Ralpheal (Tosha) Boyd of Texas, and Frederick Savage of St. Louis, Missouri, three sisters, Vonda Dixon of Sikeston, Missouri, Vivian Dixon of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Pam Savage of Tennessee, his Godparents, Tyrone and Stafita Price, three special nephews, Rashon, Emarious, and Elgin Jr, his Goddaughter, Willa, and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.

Friends may call Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11:07 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:07 P.M. at Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston with Pastor Charlie Green III, eulogizing, and Elder Timothy Randle, officiating.  Interment will following in Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, Missouri.
