Jettie Mae Daniel, affectionately known as "Peanut", 89, resident of Lilbourn, Missouri died, January 1, 2020 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born March 12, 1930 in Marianna, Arkansas to the late James and Louise Hicks.
Jettie confessed hope in Christ at an early age and always attended church. Upon relocating from Marianna, she united with First Baptist Church in Catron, Missouri where she remained a faithful member until her demise.
She was a professional cook and was employed at Cross Truck Stop in New Madrid, Missouri and 76 Truck Stop in Matthews, Missouri. After retirement, she was employed as a Green Thumb worker where she cooked and performed other tasks at several places, including Howardville Schools, Lilbourn Elementary School, Howardville City Hall, and Golden Age Nutrition Center in New Madrid, Missouri.
Ms. Jettie's life was her children and cooking. She was a hard worker and made sure her children did not want for anything. She also loved shopping and going to rummage sales. If you knew Ms. Jettie, you can hear her in your mind ending every sentence with, "and everything." Her presence will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by five sons, Lee (Cynthia) Daniel of Mobile, Alabama, Tommy Daniel, Jr. of Lilbourn, Missouri, Jimmy (Annette) Daniel of Howardville, Missouri and James (Sherrie) Daniel of Fishers, Indiana, five daughters, Shirley Nickerson of Mobile, Alabama, Sandra Daniel of Sikeston, Missouri , Brenda (Coyvell) Jackson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri , Stacy (Walter ) Daniel of Lilbourn, Missouri and Pat Daniel of Carbondale, Illinois, 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Richard Houston of First Baptist Church in Catron, Missouri, officiating.
Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
