John Ishan Smith

John Ishan Smith, 90, resident of Wilson City, Missouri died Monday, May 3, 2021 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  He was born May 4, 1930 in Humboldt, Tennessee.

He was married to Minnie Pearl Smith. She preceded him in death.

John was a simple man. He loved being outdoors and farming. He raised hogs and other livestock. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to his blues, and watching Westerns and Sanford and Son. John loved his grandchildren and his trucks. He always enjoyed having a good time.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his son, Larry (Lillie B.) Smith, two daughters, Stephanie (Luis) Verner and Sandra (Albert) Griffin all of Charleston, Missouri, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Friday, May 7, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri.  Interment will immediately follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
