Johnny White, Jr.

June 18, 1957 — November 17, 2023

Johnny White, Jr. 66, resident of Sikeston, Missouri, died Friday, November 17, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Johnny was born June 18, 1957 in Sikeston to the late Johnny White, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Tate White. He was a 1975 graduate of Sikeston High School.

Johnny spent most of his life loving and serving Jesus. He was known for telling people about Jesus no matter the time or place. He was a faithful member of Smith Chapel and Grace Bible Fellowship, where he was known for his unceasing desire to worship his Lord and Savior in word, song, and deed.

On September 5, 1987, Johnny married Lenora Madison, who survives of the home, who he loved as Christ loves His church.

Johnny was also a Christ-like example to his surviving children, including two daughters, Michelle and Thomasa King, and four sons, Garrick Madison, Jimmy King III, Kenneth (Yolanda) King, and Johnny “Trey” White III. He is also survived by five sisters, Shirley Tate, Earline Brown, Laura Brown, Pauline Lewis, and Shelby White, two brothers, Tyrone (Belinda) White and Joseph (Tonya)  White, 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, along with many other family members who he loved and who loved him. He was also a loving father figure to Richonda (Henry) Lawton.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by three sisters, Pearl Shoat, Johnnie Humphrey, and Sandra Davis, and one brother, Alfred White.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Sikeston First Assembly of God located at 306 South Kingshighway in Sikeston, Missouri. Interment will immediately follow in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
