Jose Jeff Parker was born March 11,1965, in Chicago Illinois to the parents of Jose and Fannie Lou Armour Parker, who preceded him in death. Jose departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, while at Heartland Care and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 58.
Jose was raised in Cape Girardeau, MO by his bonus parents, the late George and Bernice Penn. They showed him love and taught him the importance of faith, the value of family, and a good work ethic. Jose enjoyed hanging out with his friends, riding around listening to music and enjoying the many backyard cookouts. Jose’s smile and laughter was contagious to everyone around him.
Jose graduated from Cape Central High School in 1983. After graduation he pursued a career as a licensed beautician and worked in beauty salons in the area, while perfecting his skills. Jose along with his late wife was the owner and operator of Jose Beauty Salon for many years in Cape Girardeau, MO. Jose was highly sought after, as a masterful beautician and he spent more than 40 years creating masterpieces of style, class and elegance for fashionable hairstyles, to hundreds of his beloved customers, whom he cherished.
Jose received Christ at an early age and attended several churches in area, Jose felt a void in his life and rededicated his life to Christ and joined Greater Dimension Ministries under the pastorage of Elder William Bird, Jr, where he remained until his passing.
He was united in marriage to the former Rose M. Lawrence, in Cape Girardeau, MO in 1986.
He was also preceded in death, by his beloved daughter, Lakeshia, and two brothers, Ezell Armour and Adell Armour.
He leaves to cherish his memory: three brothers, Anthony M. Parker, of Cape Girardeau, MO; Charles (Dorothy) Armour of Chicago, IL; and Clarence Armour of Pheonix, AZ; one niece, Kimberly Scott; of Chicago, IL; and two beloved bonus nieces, Natalisha Burrow and Lauren Owens, both of Cape Girardeau, MO; and a host of cousins, many friends, his loyal customers and his Greater Dimension Ministries Church family.
Friends may call Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Greater Dimension Ministries, located at 723 Hackberry in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
