Kathleen Adams

Kathleen Adams, 62, died February 3, 2021 in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born May 5, 1958 in Hughes, Arkansas to the late Otis and Rosie Freeman Guest. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Cora Lee Green, Magnolia Boyd, Dorothy Branch, and Josie Lee Guest.

Kathleen attended church when she could. She enjoyed fellowshipping with others and reading her bible.

She enjoyed life with her companion, Nathaniel Johnson. They were together 37 years together. To this union, three children were born, Catrina Guest, Nathan Johnson, and Lucretia Guest.

Kathleen loved taking care of people. She took pride in her work and joy in loving and caring for others.  She worked as a caregiver at various facilities, Sells Rest Home, New Madrid Living Center, as well as the Visiting Nurse Association.

Kathleen was funny and such a joy to be around. She was a sassy, self-less person that would give her last to anyone who needed it. She enjoyed watching her stories on television and wouldn’t let you talk while they were on.  Kathleen loved thrift shopping, reading, and being at home enjoying her own company. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. One of the things they will fondly miss is her saying, “Girl, bye."

Kathleen leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Nathan Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two daughters, Catrina Guest of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Lucretia Guest of Lilbourn, Missouri, one brother, Alex Freeman of New Madrid, Missouri, two sisters, Earnestine Guest of Sikeston, Missouri and Shirley Robinson of New Madrid, Missouri, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
