Kimyata Kwenshay Haynes, 31, affectionately known as “Nu-Nu”, resident of Charleston, Missouri died June 7, 2020 in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born December 26, 1988 in Sikeston, Missouri to Beverly Haynes of Charleston, Missouri and Gary Warfield of Memphis, Tennesee.
She attended Charleston Public Schools and St. Mark Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor Frankie Hall Daniel.
Nu-Nu was a hard worker and found gainful employment at a number of places including: Front Desk Clerk at a hotel, In Home Nursing, and Subway.
Whatever the challenge, she was always up for it. She was currently building her own brand. Nu-Nu was instrumental in the #Charleston Strong t-shirt campaign.
She was very out spoken and sometimes goofy but was always a loving and caring mother. She enjoyed dressing her children up and would spend all her money, down to her last dime on them. She thought she was a great cook, but the only people who thought so were her children. Nu-Nu loved them so much. She loved hanging out with her sisters and friends. They can hear her asking, “Guess Whhaattt?”
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Haynes and Tobias Moore, maternal grandparents, Joe Willie and Luvine Haynes, paternal grandparents, James Robert and Sammie Lee Warfield and one niece, Ver’Taisha Haynes.
Kimyata is survived by her mother, Beverly Haynes, her father, Gary Warfield, three sons, Lawrence Johnson, DaKiren King and Kurrency Wheeler of Charleston, Missouri, two daughters, DaKira King and Nation Bird of Charleston, Missouri, four she was loving as her own, Larry Horton, Kevon Evans, Raja Johnson, and Kyler Evans all of Charleston, Missouri, 16 brothers, Kyrron Haynes, Zionta Haynes, Zecoby Moore, Shannon (Danielle) Henderson, Christopher Nunnally, Kevonte Ulmer, Wesley Williams, and Deveontrez McCain all of Charleston, Missouri, Brent (Sarah) Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Tyrone Treadwell, Dominitrix Johnson and Ray Treadwell of Sikeston, Missouri, Gary Warfield, JeTyson Warfield, and Lonnie Chamberlain, Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Gordon Ivan Phillips of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 19 sisters, Shertrica (Fletcher Moore) Haynes, Kiesha Henderson, Miesha Henderson, Gina Johnson, Jalisa Bogan, Adrennia Evans and Nicole Sinks of Charleston, Missouri, Ralicia Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri, Toya Jackson, Denise Pratt, and Shaniquq Townsend of Sikeston, Missouri, Constance Jenkins of West Palm Beach, Florida, Keonna Applewhite and Funtasia Clark of St. Louis, Missouri, Lariya (Bean-Warfield) Murrell and Alexandria Warfield of Memphis, Tennessee, Ka’Sarah Chamberlain of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Tasha Jackson of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Sidgorney Straughter of Columbia, Missouri, her grandparents, Fred and Yvonne Evans of Charleston, Missouri, the man who helped raise her, Vernon Evans of Charleston, Missouri, her companion, Nigell Bird of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two very special brothers, Brandon Johnson of Sikeston, Missouri and DeMarcus Turner of Charleston, Missouri, a special uncle, Donnell Haynes of Charleston, Missouri, two special aunts, Lisa (Dennis) Haynes of Kansas City, Missouri and Kimberly Evans of Falls Church, Virginia and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A walk through visitation will begin Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a. m. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with interment following in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri.
