Kotase Landry Brown, affectionately known as Dre by all who loved him, was born March 2, 1987. The son of Willie and Virginia Frazier Brown, Dre was born in Charleston, Missouri.
Dre was baptized at an early age. He attended and sang in the choir at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston under the leadership of Reverend LaVern Frazier.
He graduated from Charleston High School. While there, he played on the football team. He later became dedicated to his online studies in Criminal Justice.
In his downtime, he loved messing around with electronics and fixing up cars. It was a way for him to relax and enjoy himself.
His affectionate nature made him a beloved figure among friends and family; he had a remarkable ability to uplift those around him. As an encourager and protector, he inspired many with his positivity and support, always prioritizing those he cared about.
Family held a special place in his heart, particularly his grandmothers, whose wisdom he often sought. He believed in the importance of expressing love, reminding others that "the past doesn’t have to be your future" and encouraging them to "look at the situation" and "get to the bottom of it."
His last words, "I love you!" showed his genuine affection for those around him, leaving a lasting legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew him. Dre will always be their “Gentle Giant”.
