Laventral Vantez Robinson

November 3, 1982 — August 5, 2022

Laventral Vantez Robinson, affectionately known as Tez, 39, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Charleston, Missouri, died Friday, August 5, 2022 in his home. He was born November 3, 1982 in Charleston to Anthony Augustus Jones of Silverdale, Washington and Frances Robinson Modicue of Charleston, Missouri.

In 2001, he graduated from Charleston High School in Charleston, Missouri, where he excelled as a member of the football team.

Tez had a personal relationship with the Lord. He was a member of Greater Dimension Ministries in Cape Girardeau, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor William Bird, Jr. He loved encouraging others to pray.

He was a hardworking man who wore several hats. Tez got his Commercial Driver’s License and became a truck driver. He also went to Job Corps in Davenport, Kentucky and graduated as a diesel mechanic. Most recently, he was employed as a warehouse worker at the Coca-Cola factory.

On August 11, 2018, he married the love of his life, Tonisha Wade, at his church home in Cape Girardeau.  They were building a wonderful life together.

Tez was a kind and respectable man. Although he was quiet and kept to himself, he was admirable and people looked up to him, especially his siblings. He was a clean, neat person who loved food and loved to eat. In his spare time, he enjoyed working out, watching his favorite shows and his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. If he was not at home, he could be found at the church, gym, or getting his hair cut. His loved ones will miss being greeted by his beautiful smile.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Arlice Spears Robinson, and his favorite uncle, Arnell “Big Daddy” Spears. He loved them both dearly.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Tonisha Wade-Robinson of the home, his father, Anthony Jones of Silverdale, Washington, his mother, Frances Robinson Modicue of Charleston, Missouri, his brothers, Tonrieuns Robinson and Roge Modicue both of Charleston, Missouri, his sisters, Brianne Modicue of Charleston, Missouri, Starlette Stanfield of Yorktown, Virginia, Jasmine Lorde of Maryland, and Michelle Hall, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor William Bird, Jr. of Greater Dimension Ministries officiating.
