Lester Allen Carter

January 29, 1951 — March 11, 2019

Lester Allen Carter, affectionately known as PIP, 68, resident of Charleston, Missouri, died March 11, 2019 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.  He was born January 29, 1951 to the late Frank Ware and Irene Carter.

Lester was educated within the Saint Louis Public School System.  He accepted Christ into his life at an early age and was a member of Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church.  Lester was a warm and kind person who loved to dance, sing, and play the drums.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene Williams, T.C. Williams, Taylor Williams, Frank Ware, Jr., two sisters, Beatrice Owens, Billie Cain, and his first wife, Helen Carter.

Lester is survived by two sons, Lester Carter, Jr. and Samuel Carter-Robinson, five daughters, Louise Carter, Irene Carter, Phyllis Carter, Lakesha Alford, and Asaline Robinson, his wife, Bernice Fisher, six brothers, Phillips Carter, Jeffery Carter, James Ware, Bobby Ware, Paladin Ware, and Randy Ware, five sisters, Lela Ware, Della Ware, Hattie Nelson, Leigh Paige Applewhite, Cynthia Miller, 37 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Floyd Wade officiating.
