Lisa Faye Gilmore Hampton, daughter of Willie “Baby Ray” Gilmore and Bernice Scott Gilmore was born October 13, 1960 in New Madrid, Missouri.
Lisa confessed Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized in Conroe, Texas.
She attended public schools in New Madrid, Missouri and was a 1979 graduate of New Madrid
High School. She furthered her education by becoming an LPN in August of 1986. She had a love for caring for others and that was shown in her work. Lisa worked at Pemiscot Memorial Primary Care Clinic in Hayti, Missouri as well as New Madrid Nursing Center in New Madrid, Missouri.
In 1985, Lisa was united in holy matrimony to Alfarmia J. Hampton, Jr, affectionately known as Al or June. They spent over 38 years of love and happiness together.
In her free time, she enjoyed golfing and fishing with her husband, Al, and shopping. Lisa was a family-oriented person and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She will be truly missed.
On August 5, 2023, Lisa was suddenly called from time into eternity at the age of 62 years, nine months and 23 days.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Essie Scott, her father-in-law, Alfarmia J. Hampton, Sr., her mother-in-law, Erma Jean Carter, and a host of uncles, aunts, and other relatives.
Those left to mourn her passing and cherish her fond memories are her husband, Alfarmia J. Hampton, Jr. of the home, two sons, LaRicka Gilmore of Lilbourn, Missouri and Arteemus (Deidra) Davis of Raymore, Missouri, one daughter, Jeutaun (Leon) Buck of Maryland Heights, Missouri, three brothers, Victor Gilmore of New Madrid, Missouri, Elbert (Christine) Johnson of Elkhart, Indiana, and Dericka (Janella) Burges of St. Louis, Missouri, five sisters, Sandra Scott and Trina (Warren) Freeman of New Madrid, Missouri, Sukena Gilmore of Pensacola, Florida, and Sherry (James) Stevenson Daniels and Melba (Stanley) Stevenson Collins of Fort Wayne, Indiana, seven grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Friends may call Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Life Changers Restoration Ministries in Lilbourn, Missouri with Pastor Earl Grissom officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, Missouri. The Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
