Lonnie Charles Taylor, 68, resident of Howardville, Missouri died Thursday, December 26, 2019 in his home.  He was born on June 20, 1951 in Lilbourn, Missouri to the late Louis and Louise Taylor. He was the third of twelve children.

Lonnie Taylor accepted Christ as his personal Savior on April 15, 2004 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Lilbourn, Missouri. He served on the Usher Board and the Men’s Music Ministry.

Lonnie attended Howardville High School. After graduating, he was employed at Plastene, which is now called SRG Global, in Portageville, Missouri for over 20 years.

Lonnie was united in Holy matrimony to Angela Denise Maxwell in Howardville, Missouri. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Everyone that knew Lonnie, knew how loving, caring and giving he was. He always had a handsome smile on his face and made strange sounds with his mouth. Lonnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, music and sports. One thing he was well known for was helping the needy as well as the greedy.

One brother, Louis Taylor,  and one step son, Justin Maxwell, preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Angela Taylor of Howardville, Missouri, three daughters, Kendra (Angelo) Young  and Celina (Michael) Medious  of Chicago, Illinois and Shayla (Jackie) Pratcher  of Atlanta, Georgia, three step children, DeAngelo Maxwell, Kemisha Maxwell, and Kimberly Walton,  15 grandchildren,  DeAngelo Young, Latavia Medious, Keona Young, Jacquan Pratcher, Jalil Pratcher, Michael Medious, Jr., Jayla Pratcher, Shamera Fisher, Garnett Fisher, Jr., Jason Jones, Ja’kwon Jones, Martayedious Walton, Barbara Hudson, Mary Jane Hudson, and John Hudson, III,  eight sisters, Linda Taylor of Lilbourn, Missouri, Elois Clark of Chicago, Illinois, Delorse Davis of Florissant, Missouri, Mary Taylor, Lillie (Detral) Treadwell, and Loretta Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia, Joyce (Gary) Thomas of Muskegon, Michigan, Brenda Taylor of Sikeston, Missouri, two brothers, Walter Taylor of New Madrid, Missouri and Otis (Tasha) Taylor of Lilbourn, Missouri, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Good Hope Baptist Church, 303 Main Street, in Marston, Missouri with Pastor Kirk Dunnavant officiating and Reverend Terrance Flenoid eulogizing.

Interment will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery in Catron, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Howardville in charge of arrangements.
