Lucretia Joiner

Lucretia Joiner, 40, resident of East Prairie, Missouri died Sunday, March 10, 2024 while at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She was born March 15, 1983 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Sterling Lee Joiner and Peggy Mitchell Joiner of East Prairie, Missouri.

During her school years, Lucretia was an all-around athlete. In middle school, she was a cheerleader and in high school, she participated in basketball, softball, and track and field. She excelled in track and earned well deserved recognition with many trophies and ribbons. Ultimately, she graduated from East Prairie High School and later from Metro Business College in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Lucretia was a natural born leader and her roles in employment reflected that. She held jobs such as a manager at Love’s Travel Stop and a manager at Flying J Travel Center. At her most recent job, she was an assistant manager at Sonic in East Prairie.

She had a friendly, outgoing personality that gravitated people toward her. She never met a stranger. Once she spoke to you, you were her friend. Everyone who knew and loved her will miss her beautiful, radiant smile.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Luella and Johnnie Joiner, and her maternal grandparents, Nettie and Lonnie Mitchell.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother, Peggy Mitchell Joiner of the home, her brother, Sterling Cortez Joiner of Dexter, Missouri, her nephew whom she loved as her own, Darius Joiner, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri.  The Williams Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
