Lydell Martin Jackson was born August 24, 1962 in Sikeston, MO to the late Theodore “Teddy” Echols and Mollye (Jackson) Redd. Lydell was one of a total of seventeen children. He confessed Christ at an early age at St. John Baptist Church and later reaffirmed his salvation and faith through Recovery Ministry and In Touch Ministries online services with Pastor Charles Stanley.
Lydell graduated with his GED and also obtained various certifications over the course of his lifetime, to include culinary, woodwork, and paralegal, etc. He enjoyed working in construction and he was employed at Amazon as a delivery station flex associate, at the time of his departure.
Lydell enjoyed board games, chess. He loved Christmas and he loved spending time with his family, loved ones, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Echols, and his sister, Lynette Jackson Kent.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents Mollye and Jessie Redd and his step-mother Connie Echols (all of MO); ten sisters: Vonda Jackson and family, Dianna (Tebbie) Neal (both of TN), Jessica (Anthony) Robinson (TX), Carol Guice and family (FL), Phyllis (Clay) Montgomery (IL), Yolanda Redd and family, Tabatha Redd (Spencer), Nakia (Eric) Goodin, Connie (Mike) White, Katina Sims and family, (all of MO); six brothers Jessie (Natasha) Redd (MO), Mike (Linda) Sales (AR), Ron (Cheryl) Echols, Jermaine Sims and family, Curtis Sales and family (all of TX), and Tim (Felicia) Wyse (OH). And a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family members, and friends.
Friends may call Friday, July 1, 2022 at 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at Life Church in Sikeston, Missouri. Interment will follow in Sikeston Memorial Park with Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
