Lynell Robinson Sr., 78, died January 29, 2021, in East Prairie, Missouri. He was born on January 7, 1943, in Shelby County, Tennessee, to the late Jim Robinson Sr. and Barbara Tate Robinson.
Lynell graduated from East Prairie High School in 1963 and married Mary Nell Strayhorn in 1964. They were joined in holy matrimony for 48 years until the untimely passing of Mary in 2012.
Lynell dreamed of being a farmer and a police officer. A dream that became a reality as he served as a Mississippi County deputy sheriff for 28 years and was a devoted farmer until his homegoing. Lynell dedicated his life to both God and his family.
Lynell was a man of few words and always gave an unfiltered opinion, so in other words if you didn’t want the truth-don’t ask. Lynell was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell, and son, Donnell Robinson.
Lynell leaves to cherish his memory, daughter and son-in-law Rosalyn and Terrence Andrews, son Lynell Robinson, Jr., son Cal Robinson, daughter Jannell Robinson, granddaughters Morgan, Casey, and Jasmine, great granddaughter Janiya, and many, many family and friends.
