She attended Scott County Central Public Schools where she was a member of the graduating Class of 1994.  Makesha was active in basketball and was given the opportunity to play for the Class 1A Missouri State Girls Basketball Championship with Danny Farmer as coach.

Makesha knew and accepted Christ into her life at an early age.  She was raised attending  Bell City Church of God in Christ in rural Bell City, Missouri, under the leadership of Administrative Assistant, Superintendent Norris T. Pullen, Sr., where she received the words of God weekly.  Makesha was taught how to live again.  She was currently attending Life Church in Sikeston, Missouri under the leadership of Pastor David Craig.

She was employed by several different companies throughout her work career. She worked at Missouri Delta Medical Center for over nine years.    "Always There" In-home Health Care was a her last employer.  Makesha worked tirelessly as long as her health allowed.

Makesha was recently united in marriage to Shon Watson who survives of Sikeston, Missouri.

She was known to be a good person who was independent, stubborn and hard, but she had a good heart.  Makesha was a single parent that was very loving, outgoing but laid back and very family oriented.  She loved playing spades and Bingo and watching soap operas.

To know Makesha was to love Makesha. As we think of her, we can hear her saying,  "Mmm huh, You'll be alright."  Those are now her encouraging words to us. She will be tremendously missed.
