Marale Darnell Verner, 44, resident of St. Louis, Missouri died Tuesday, January 14, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was born October 15, 1975 to Freddie Warren and Felecia Verner in Sikeston, Missouri. Marale was the first born to both parents. He is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, L.T. & Margie Wiggins of Sikeston, Missouri and Theodore & Annie Mae Verner of Charleston, Missouri.

Marale attended Sikeston Public Schools during his childhood and later graduated from Charleston Senior High School with the class of 1994. He attended St. Louis University for a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Marale’s true life passion was cooking. He expressed his love through food. Marale attended L’Ecole Culinaire School in St. Louis, Missouri in 2018.

He enjoyed traveling and experiencing life through his own eyes. Marale was a free-spirited soul who enjoyed a good time and the freedom to pursue life’s adventures.

Marale confessed a true love for God and spoke passionately about his faith and trust in His word. Marale had recently been accepted to St. Louis Seminary School for their Spring 2020 program. He walked with the faith of a mustard seed and a firm belief that God loves us all.

Marale leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Felecia Verner of Charleston, Missouri; seven sisters, Heaven (Omari) Chike of Atlanta, Georgia, Tori Banks of Haywood City, Missouri, Nita Patterson of Lithonia, Georgia, Bianca Patterson of Killeen, Texas, Tayanne Patterson of Sikeston, Missouri, Danielle Davis of Sikeston, Missouri and Kimberly Howard of Sikeston, Missouri; a brother, Kevin Howard of Sikeston, Missouri; a very close aunt, Billie Jo Sager of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two very special friends, Kimberly Evans Vincent of Fairfax, Virginia and Toni Watts of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Friends may call Saturday, February 1, 2019  from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral  hour 12:00 noon at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with  Elder Freddie L. Green, Sr., officiating.

The Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
