Mr. Melvin Williams, age 59, passed peacefully at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, MO on Monday, February 8th, 2021. Melvin was born on March 7th, 1961 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Charles Jackson, Sr. and Ethel (Polly) Jones.
Melvin worked all his life to provide for his family. Melvin liked to play pool, darts, spades, horseshoes and loved to do yard work. He was a great man and loved everyone who came in contact with him. He was a kind, loving and warm person.
He will forever be missed. Jehovah has a place for him in his memory.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Preston Williams, George Williams, Sr., and Elmer Jones, his sister, Deborah Williams-Roberson, and one brother-in-law, Demetric Atchison.
Melvin is survived by his loving spouse, Alisa Williams of Charleston, MO, his brothers and sisters, Ray (Dawn) Anderson, Sr., Willie Anderson, Sr., and Everlene (Johnnie) Cummings of Peoria, IL, Theresa Greer, Ronald Jones, and Chris Jones of Wilson City, MO, Bobby Jones and Marcus Jackson of St. Louis, MO, and Charles Jackson, Jr. of Wyatt, MO, brothers-in-law, Edward (Mahlani) Atchison, Johnny (Sandra) Atchison, and Christopher Atchison, sisters-in-law, Linda Pope and Bridgett (Bunky) Atchison, his Aunt Lula Mae Scott of Mounds, IL, and a host of other brothers and sisters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends may call Friday, February 19, 2021 from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour of 1:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri.
