Mother Rutha Boyd

Mother Rutha L. Boyd, 86, died Monday, January 9, 2023 in Sierra Vista, Arizona.  She was born February 12, 1936 in Charleston, MO to the late Rufus and Priscilla Price Lark. She was the 21st of 23 beloved children and devoted her life to the loving service of others.

She was preceded in her home going by: her son, Landall Boyd, and her husband, Leonard A. Boyd. She is survived by: two sons, Ralph Boyd (Avis) of Minneapolis, MN and Stan Boyd of Atlanta, GA.; two daughters, Sharita Kemp (Frank) of Sierra Vista, AZ and Tina Boyd of Millsboro, DE; and 6 grandchildren Tona Boyd (Steve Cartwright), Rhea Boyd (Destin Jenkins), Tori Boyd, Kendall Boyd, Frank Kemp III and Aaron Kemp; and one great granddaughter Zula Boyd-Jenkins and loving neighbor, sister, aunt and friend to countless more.

Friends may call Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri with Pastor Arthur Cassell officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston with the Williams Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.
