Ora Lee Robinson

May 18, 1940 — September 27, 2021

Mrs. Ora Lee Kent Robinson, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Brown) Kent Sr. was born May 18, 1940 in Charleston, Mo.  She was one in a family of six children, four girls and two boys.  Her parents, Stepmother Ivory Riggins-Kent, one sister, Mildred Kent Smith, two brothers, William Kent & Sylvester (Sonny) Banks, and a son, Dewain Kent Gillespie, have preceded her in death.

Ora followed the occupation of Housekeeping at Salem Village Nursing Home, Joliet, IL until her retirement. She was often presented with numerous awards and accommodations for her meticulous cleaning ability.  She was a devoted mother who loved cooking, gardening and shopping at the Mall. Professing a hope in Christ, Ora was baptized and joined Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist church, Deventer, MO. She remained an active member before moving to Joliet, IL in 1973 and later joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Joliet, IL until her death.

In 1974 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Isaac Robinson and remained by his side until God called him home in 2001.  On September 27, 2021, while a patient at Villa Franciscan Rehab & Nursing, Joliet, IL, God called his servant home at the age of 81 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters LaWanda Kent of Joliet, IL and Linda (Paul) Coleman of Charleston, Mo; three sisters, Jessie (Otis) Boyce of Bertrand, MO, Byrdella (Leroy) Johnson of Maywood, IL, and Canary (Herman) Canada of Little Rock, AR; one brother, Edward (Pearlie) Kent Jr, Wilson City, MO; grandchildren, Felicia (Elliott) Tate, Kenneth Jr, Lakeisha, Jermaine and Kyle Moore of Joliet, IL and Kibrandon Coleman of Charleston, MO; great-grandchildren, Craig and Victoria; son-in-law Kenneth Moore Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Friends may call  Saturday, October 2, 2021 from3:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 4:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Chapel in Charleston, Missouri with Reverend Juliet Kent-Hemphill officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri.
