Ora Lee Walker was born August 29th (30th) 1942 to Excel and Mary Walker in Turrell, AR. She departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in Sikeston, MO.

Ora Lee gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a long-time member at B.B. Memorial Church where she was an active choir member. She later joined Mt. Pisgah under the leadership of the late Rev L.L. Williams.

Ora Walker and S.R. Nelson met and to this union were born two daughters, Teresa Moore and Mary Walker, and one son, Michael Walker. Ora Lee leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Teresa (Demetrius) Moore of Lilbourn, MO, Mary Walker of New Madrid, MO, Star Robinson of New Madrid, MO, and Linette McCoy of Dexter, MO, one son, Michael (Theresa) Walker of Lilbourn, MO, eight grandchildren, Dontre’ Jenkins, Trabias Williams, Mikeal Walker Sr., Deondray Jenkins, Makiya Walker, Demetrius (Unique) Moore, Mastajah Walker, and Breanna Davis, ten great-grandchildren, Alexander Thomas, A’cen Dorsey, Kannon Walker, Mikeal Walker Jr., Kulture Hall, Lailah Hall, Kaylani Walker, Nova Minner, Love Collins, and Nayvi Minner, six sisters, Josephine (Willa Mae) Walker, Barbara Patterson, Linda Sue Neal, Paulletta Hill, Edna Jean, and Wilma Smart, one brother, Clyde Lee Walker, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ora Lee was preceded in death by S.R. Nelson, her parents, Excel and Mary Walker, her Godmother, Edna Williams “Granny Momma”, her sisters, Willie B. Daniels and Erma Strong, and her brothers, Charles E. Walker Sr., Carlton Floyd Walker, Excel Walker, Excel Walker, Charles Williams, and Lawrence L. Williams. Ora Lee Walker was a staple of the community. She was loved by many. She was a mom, aunt, and granny to many. She loved to cook for her family and the community. She loved to dance and listen to her blues. Ora Lee Walker was known for being one of the baddest card players in town and she is now reunited with her girls.

Friends may call Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour of 12:00 noon at Life Changers Restoration Ministries located at 320 Coleman Ave in Lilbourn, Missouri. Interment will immediately follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid with the Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
